Not to my knowledge unless you plan on studying in France. However, if you plan on getting into a good college, they require that you have taken a language class a certain number of years. Its a good idea to have learned a second language but for studying law it doesn’t seem like it would be a requirement… Check with the university!
You need *a* foreign language to get into college, unless you go to a community college and transfer to a 4-year college. To get into law school, they don’t require any specific classes, so unless you are a French major you don’t have to take French.
I don’t know what kind of law you want to do, but if you learn a language that many immigrants in America speak (Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese) this could give you more customers, if you are dealing with the public.
its best to learn spanish in high school or ASL is the easiest to learn lol. But i would say no i had two semesters of ASL in high school and one of Spanish. Learning French would all depend on where you live. If you near Canada or LA I would say knowing french would help you but if not most of your clients will speak english or spanish with a few possibly speaking ASL.
Either way employers love people who speak it all so in case you decide to go into business law or something maybe you should go ahead and learn as many languages as possible.

Oh, mais non! (Of course not!) You probably will want to take four years of some foreign language (not necessarily French) in HS.
